Geneseo ID Card Services
At Geneseo, nothing will be as close to you as your Geneseo ID card. This card acts as your building access card, meal card, library card, and print card. It also acts as general identification for building security, sporting and entertainment event purchases and admittance, and picking up student payroll checks.
If you would like a preferred/chosen name to appear on your card, please refer to and complete the form prior to submitting your photo for the printing of your identification card.
- How to Submit Your Photo (New/Incoming Students)

For new and incoming students, CAS will send out an automated email with a link that is unique to the individual. Students can use this link to submit their ID photo before they arrive, so that their ID card will be ready when they get to campus.

Step Two: ID Photo Guidelines
- Face head directly at the camera (full face in view). Shoulders and clothing must be visible.
- Keep your facial expression neutral or smile naturally with both eyes open.
- If you wear glasses, avoid any reflection and frames cannot obstruct your eyes.
- Photo must be in color.
- Photo must be taken within the last 6 months.
- Use a neutral (plain white or off-white) solid background.
- Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable; religious headwear must not cover face.
- No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
- Choose a photo that you will want to have on your ID card for the next 4 years.
- Obtaining a new ID within the 4-year period will incur a replacement fee.
Step Three:
You will be asked to show proof of who you are with a government issued identification that contains your full name and photo. The following are accepted:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- Military ID
Manage My ID Card
To manage the accounts that are linked to your Geneseo ID card quickly and easily, you can go online to . Through this online portal, you can view your account balance, add money to your account(s), and place a hold on your account if your card is lost or stolen.

- Enter your Geneseo username (email without the "@geneseo.edu"). You will see a list of your accounts and balances with a plus (+) to add money to your account.
- Choose the account where you would like to add funds.
Make a Guest Deposit
To add money on behalf of your student, you can sign in as a guest. You will need to know your students G# in order to access their accounts.
Lost or Stolen ID Cards
If your ID is ever lost or stolen, you should deactivate it immediately via for your protection. If your card is found before a new card is issued, you can reactivate your card by visiting our CAS Business Office at Blake-A 108. Your first ID card is free; if the card is ever lost, stolen, or damaged in any way that inhibits its proper use, you will be charged a replacement fee to obtain a new one.
Cards can be replaced at the CAS Business Office (Blake-A 108). Please bring government issued photo identification that contains your full name. The following are accepted:
- Driver's license
- Passport
- Military ID
Appointments Encouraged
Due to our staffing model, CAS encourages you to schedule appointments whenever possible. Customers can or call us to set up an appointment for any needs, including ID cards or other paperwork. We will return all calls within one business day.
