Unlike traditional degrees, microcredentials can be completed in months rather than years, and many are stackable—allowing you to apply them toward a certificate or degree program.

Geneseo’s high-quality microcredentials offer a flexible way to strengthen your expertise, explore new areas, and stay competitive in today’s evolving workplace.

The following Integrative Curricular Microcredentials (ICMs) are available to both Geneseo students and non-matriculated students. Each consists of 6-12 credits, an applied experience, and a reflection.

For a full list of ICMs available to Geneseo undergraduates, see the program listing in the .

To register for a course or an ICM as a non-matriculated student, .

To request further information on any ICM, email the faculty coordinator, listed in the description for each Microcredential.

The coordinators track students' progress through the ICM and . Students receive a notation on their transcript and a digital badge for each ICM completed.
